Hello, fellow travelers!
I’m Saa-mama, a writer for “SaruKuma.”

Today, I’m excited to introduce you to
“Hana no Kajuen”,
located in Nonoshima, Koshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

This wonderful farm-to-table restaurant offers a main dish of your choice — pasta, pizza, or risotto — along with a generous buffet of homemade side dishes, fresh fruits, and desserts. It’s the perfect place to indulge in seasonal fruits harvested right from the on-site orchard.

There’s plenty of parking space available — a real plus if you’re driving in.

Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by…

…an open, airy dining space with sweeping views of the orchard right outside the window!

Recommended Menu

Appetizer + Main + Buffet: ¥1,890 (tax included)
Choose one main dish from this delicious lineup: Chewy Bacon Pizza, Local Vegetable Risotto, Rich Carbonara, Mellow Fruit Curry, Green Spaghetti, or Cherry Tomato Spaghetti!

Elementary school children and under (buffet only): ¥950 (tax included)
Ages 2 to 3 years: ¥700 (tax included)

The buffet features fresh garden salads,

a refreshing chilled vegetable soup packed with veggies,

freshly baked bread served with blueberry jam, strawberry jam, and honey,

and a show-stopping Fruit Pizza!
Topped with juicy slices of peach and creamy custard — what a perfect pairing!

For drinks, you can enjoy orange juice, detox tea, tropical fruit mix,

and warm options like black tea.
With such a wide variety of beverages — and unlimited refills as part of the buffet — you’ll be spoiled for choice!

Your meal also comes with a beautiful appetizer plate!
Think prosciutto, bacon pie, and yes — even more peach!

This time, I went with the Cherry Tomato Spaghetti.
Appetizer + Main + Buffet (¥1,890 tax included)
It looked stunning on the plate, and the rich tomato flavor made every bite irresistible. Combined with the buffet, I left feeling completely satisfied!

Chewy Bacon Pizza
The dough is wonderfully chewy and served piping hot, with melty cheese in every bite — absolutely delicious!

And after the meal, I couldn’t wait to try the star of the show:
Peach Parfait ♬ (¥1,500 tax included)

Generously topped with juicy peaches, with vanilla ice cream and peach sherbet hidden inside —
a peachy, peachy, PEACHY parfait that’s pure heaven!

I checked with the staff, and they mentioned:
“The Peach Parfait is available for about another week, so please call ahead to confirm.”

The fruit menu rotates with the seasons — strawberries in winter and spring,
peaches in early summer, and grapes from late summer through autumn.
Their limited-edition parfaits and buffets featuring fresh, ripe seasonal fruits are always a hit!

Kids will love the in-store ice cream selection, with flavors including
chocolate, milk, grape, strawberry, pineapple, and Calpis — and more!

Single scoop: ¥250 / Double: ¥460 / Waffle cone: +¥50!

You can even buy fresh peaches harvested at Takaji Tourist Farm right inside the shop — perfect for a tasty souvenir!
