📌 What You’ll Learn in This Article
A SaruKuma writer’s first-hand visit to “Namaste Koshi” in Suya, Koshi City. We cover family-friendly features, access, and opening hours.

Namaste!
This is Gussan, your friendly writer from SaruKuma!

Today I’m introducing a wonderful spot located in
Suya, Koshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture
none other than Namaste Koshi Restaurant!
The parking lot is right in front of the restaurant, making access super easy!
The welcoming entrance to Namaste.
Open 365 days a year! You can enjoy authentic Indian curry even during Obon and New Year holidays!
At the entrance, today’s curry specials are proudly displayed!
(I love how “Today’s Curry” is written three times—it really shows their passion!)
On this visit, the daily specials were “beans, potato, and chicken”!
They have children’s chairs available for the tables!
What’s especially nice for an Indian curry restaurant is that they have traditional tatami-style seating (zashiki)!
Of course, children’s chairs are also provided here!
There are also regular table seats and counter seats available!
The interior was spotlessly clean!
Menus and chairs are all neatly arranged—everything is in perfect order!

Recommended Menu Items

Here’s the lunch menu!
Every set comes with soup, salad, and a drink included!
There’s even a children’s set available!
The variety of toppings is so tempting—it’s hard to choose!
But since this is my first Namaste experience,
I decided to start with the plain option!
Free refills on naan and rice!
You can even request a half-size naan for your refill—
a thoughtful service that’s especially appreciated by lighter eaters!
You can also customize the spice level!
This is also free of charge.
Soup and salad.
The salad has a mild, easy flavor, and the soup
is gentle enough that even children can enjoy it.
NAAN!!!!!
It has serious presence on the plate,
but you’ll polish it off in no time!
I ordered the C Lunch Set ¥935 (tax included) Chicken Curry
at regular spice level. Even though I’m not great with spicy food,
it actually felt mild—almost a little sweet—so spice lovers
might want to bump it up a notch or two!
