You’ll find the shop right across from the Kumamoto Prefectural School for the Deaf, making it easy to spot.
Good news for visitors driving in: there are two parking areas — one in front of the restaurant and another in the back.
We arrived right when they opened, but the front lot was already full!
A clear sign of just how popular this place is among locals!
Inside, you’ll find traditional Japanese tatami seating (zashiki) — perfect for an authentic dining experience!
The menu offers a wonderful variety!
Beyond the classic pork bone (tonkotsu) broth, you can also try a lighter chicken bone (torigara) soup.
This means everyone in your group — whether you love rich, hearty flavors or prefer something lighter — can enjoy a bowl together! They also provide kids’ tableware and high chairs, making it a truly family-friendly ramen shop!

And here’s a sweet touch — kids receive a complimentary candy on the way out!

On this visit, I ordered the “Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen (thin noodles)” for ¥680.
For sides, I added the fried rice (chahan) and gyoza (Japanese pan-fried dumplings)!

The ramen delivers exactly what you’d hope for from authentic Hakata-style ramen —
a rich, creamy tonkotsu broth that clings beautifully to the thin, springy noodles.

It’s amazing to enjoy such genuine Hakata ramen without leaving Kumamoto.
The fried rice was light and fluffy, with a simple yet aromatic soy sauce flavor that hit the spot!The gyoza were crispy on the outside and bursting with juicy filling — I could honestly have eaten dozens!
I even ordered a kaedama (extra noodle refill) and left completely satisfied!!!
