Today we’re introducing
“Tsukemen Onnoji Kumamoto Chikami,”
located in Chikami, Minami Ward, Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

The shop had been closed for a while due to circumstances,
but we heard it was back in business, so we headed straight to the Chikami location!

The must-try dish is, of course,
the Bushi Tsukemen (dipping noodles with a rich bonito-based broth).

To enjoy the meal all the way to the finishing soup, don’t go too heavy on the noodles —
instead, add an Okakatama (bonito-topped rice bowl) or an Okaka onigiri (bonito rice ball)!
The shop sits right next to the Chikami overpass, with a big, easy-to-spot sign.

If you’re feeling brave and arrive really hungry,
why not take on the giant “Oke-mori” (bucket-sized) challenge?
