Today I’d like to introduce a wonderful spot located in Mashiki Town, Kamimashiki District (at Aso Kumamoto Airport)
Sora Yoka Park.

I recently visited the brand-new “Sora Yoka Park” at Aso Kumamoto Airport — Kumamoto’s gateway to the skies — and I can’t wait to share it with you! (*^.^*)

It’s also right near a fantastic spot for watching planes take off and land!

Parking is available in the paid lots within Aso Kumamoto Airport grounds.

From the parking lot, you’ll easily spot today’s destination — Sora Yoka Park — just behind the bus terminal! (^-^)v

There are tables and benches too, so on a sunny day it’s perfect for enjoying lunch or a snack while watching planes go by! (^3^)/

After plenty of plane-spotting, it was time for some fun!

So, here we go!

We grabbed a model airplane kit from the airport convenience store, assembled it, and gave it a flight! \(^_^)(^_^)/

On hot days, charming flower-shaped sculptures release a refreshing cool mist — so soothing! (^^)

Near the beautiful ceramic mural, there’s a staircase leading up to the observation deck. From there, you can also enjoy panoramic views of the planes!

Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or not, watching massive aircraft up close is guaranteed to leave you in awe!
