Introducing Hanazono 5-chome Park

Hello travelers! This is Asukarando, a writer for [Sarukuma].

Today I’d like to introduce a lovely park located in Hanazono, Nishi-ku, Kumamoto City:
[Hanazono 5-chome Park].

This time I’ll be exploring ‘Hanazono 5-chome Park,’ which sits right next to the ‘Hanazono Children’s Hall’ I introduced previously (*^.^*)

[Hanazono Children’s Hall – Hanazono, Nishi-ku, Kumamoto] A children’s hall fun for kids up to elementary school age β€” perfect for families with siblings!

The park is adjacent to the ‘Hanazono Community Development Center,’ but please note that there’s no dedicated parking lot for the park itself.

The restrooms look fairly new from the outside, but heads up β€” they’re traditional Japanese-style (squat) toilets.

There are two covered rest areas built on raised platforms, so even when other visitors are around, you’ll have plenty of room to relax.

And besides those, you’ll find plenty of benches scattered around the perimeter of the park.

There’s also a hand-washing station right next to the covered rest area β€” super convenient.

Highlights of Hanazono 5-chome Park

A massive, wide-open grassy area awaits!

There are three different spring-mounted ride-on toys, which look like a blast (^^)

There’s a sandbox too! Don’t forget to bring your sand toys!

Without a doubt, the most popular attraction at ‘Hanazono 5-chome Park’ has to be this colorful play structure with its bright slides!

The height feels just right β€” you can watch the kids play with peace of mind.

The red slide curves around for a fun, twisty ride down.

The yellow slide is a wavy, bumpy style. Both slides are loads of fun (*^.^*)

There are swings here too! (^^)

There are even cherry blossom trees on the grounds, so this is a fantastic spot for hanami (cherry blossom viewing) in spring (^^)
With plenty of street lamps around, the cherry blossoms might look magical at night too β€” perfect for yozakura (evening cherry blossoms).

‘Hanazono 5-chome Park’ is a wonderfully quiet, peaceful spot β€” highly recommended!
