About the Park

Today we’re introducing
“Omuragoshi Park,”
located in Minami-Kumamoto, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City.

You’ll find it on your left when traveling along Route 266 from Minami-Kumamoto Station toward Karashima-cho ★

Nearby, you’ll find Hotto Motto (a popular Japanese bento takeout chain) and

convenience stores,
and a Don Quijote (Japan’s famous discount megastore), so picking up a bento or snacks for a picnic is easy! ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

Don Quijote has a great snack section,

a fun toy section,

and a fully stocked baby goods section! (◍•ᴗ•◍)

Beyond diapers, you’ll find baby food, sippy cups, and bottles — so even if you forget something, you can grab it nearby. Peace of mind for traveling parents! (*´ω｀*)

What Makes This Park Special

Despite being tucked between a residential area and a main road, the park feels surprisingly spacious! (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

The seesaw is huge — multiple kids can play at once! (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ haha

It actually fits up to 8 kids at the same time!
Even a family of 8 siblings could play without arguing ＼(^o^)／

The slide isn’t too tall, making it perfect for younger children too!

The landing area is rubberized for safety — a thoughtful touch! ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

The sandbox is generously sized to match the park’s open feel.

And of course, there are swings! (´∩｡• ᵕ •｡∩`)
The ground beneath them is also rubberized, so kids’ shoes won’t get covered in dirt when they stop. (*˘︶˘*)

Two swings means siblings or friends can play together without fighting over a turn! (~￣³￣)~

Kids can spend hours in a sandbox with nothing else around — pure imagination at work! ( ◜‿◝ )

There are benches nearby, so adults can take a breather while keeping an eye on the little ones. (´∩｡• ᵕ •｡∩`)

And then there’s this little zebra!!!

Maybe it’s because there’s only one of them, but this little guy is super popular!

You’ll often see kids gently competing for a turn (lol)

It’s adorable and clearly fun to ride —
but maybe being one-of-a-kind is the real charm… (lol)

Public restrooms are also available ♪

Park rules are clearly posted, so even small children can play safely. ( ◜‿◝ )♡

While there’s no single massive piece of equipment, the open layout and great visibility make this a relaxing park where you can comfortably let kids play. (*˘︶˘*).｡*♡
