About the Facility

Hello, travelers!
I’m Ayu-mama, a writer for “Sarukuma.”

Today I’m introducing a wonderful spot located in Shinmachi, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City:
Kodomo Bunka Kaikan (Children’s Cultural Hall).

This is a children’s hall — and it’s one of the largest in Kumamoto City!
Best of all, admission is completely free.

Welcome inside!

For full details, please check the official website.

There’s no on-site parking, so please use one of the nearby paid parking lots.

A nursing room,

and vending machines are also available.

The hall has rooms designed for different age groups,
including a craft room — so even elementary-school-aged kids can have a great time.

What Makes This Place Special

This time, we used the Hiyoko Room (“Chick Room”).
It’s a spacious indoor playroom packed with fun things to do.

Inside, you’ll find lots of play equipment for kids to enjoy.

A trampoline,

soft play mats,

and Rody bouncers are all available.

There are big balls,

and a selection of toys you can borrow.

When we visited, we happened to have the room all to ourselves — meaning unlimited access to every toy and piece of equipment!
The friendly staff even organized a fun balloon relay game for us, and my son had an absolute blast!

As the winner’s prize, he received a handmade spinning top — a sweet keepsake from a wonderful day spent together as a family.

Why not warm up indoors and make some great memories with your kids at this cozy children’s hall?
