Today I’m introducing
【Kogai Park】,
located in Kurokami, Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture!

You’ll find it near Kumamoto University, right alongside the Shirakawa River!

Just a few steps away, the Shirakawa River flows by!

The weather was beautiful on the day of my visit, and the views were absolutely stunning (≧▽≦)

Here are the restrooms. Note: there’s no diaper-changing station available!

Here’s a hand-washing station and drinking fountain,

…and a cute little dolphin to greet you (*^▽^*) So adorable♡

There’s also a covered rest area where you can take a break in the shade!

What Makes This Park Special

Check out the playground equipment, starting with the monkey bars!

Climb on top or swing underneath — both are fun (≧▽≦)!

A slide!

And jumbo-sized horizontal bars in three heights — large, medium, and small!

A spring-rider in the shape of a tiger 🐯!

There’s a spacious sandbox, too!

Though I have to admit, the sand was a little on the low side (>_<)!

Right next to the playground area, you’ll find a wide grassy field — perfect for running around to your heart’s content (*^▽^*)

After playing in the park, take a leisurely stroll along the Shirakawa River♪
It’s guaranteed to soothe your soul ☆
