Today I’m introducing a charming local spot in Nagamine-Nishi, Higashi Ward, Kumamoto City:
【Nagamine Park】.

Nestled in a quiet residential area, this park is conveniently close to shopping spots like Yumemart and Direx, making it easy to combine a visit with errands.

Here are the restrooms.

There’s even a diaper-changing table — a thoughtful touch for traveling families.

A drinking fountain and a covered bench.
(I noticed several jackets hanging on the covered bench — likely lost-and-found items left by neighborhood kids. So easy to spot!!)

There are also benches under a large tree.
It must offer wonderful cool shade in the summer!

You’ll also find two vending machines right in front of the park — perfect for grabbing a quick drink on a hot day.

The flower beds were in full, gorgeous bloom — absolutely stunning!

And a grassy open field.
This grass field is incredibly spacious!
You rarely find such a generous open space in a residential neighborhood park.

The day I visited, the park was buzzing with energy as local children ran and played.
It’s clearly a beloved spot among kids!
