Welcome to Osakibana Park

Hi everyone, this is Asukarando, writer for [SaruKuma].

Today I’m taking you to Hama in Minamata City to visit
[Osakibana Park].

Let me introduce you to Osakibana Park, a charming seaside spot right by the ocean!

The parking lot is conveniently located right next to the road.

From the parking area, you’ll walk down a gentle slope to reach the park itself.

Osakibana Park stretches along sloped land facing the sea, designed in two tiers that hug the coastline beautifully.

A handwashing station is located right at the park entrance — super convenient!

The restrooms feel brand new and were spotlessly clean!

A diaper-changing table is also available — perfect for traveling families!

There are three covered rest areas in total, all looking out over the wide blue sea.

Benches are scattered throughout the park, so you can rest just about anywhere.

Why You’ll Love Osakibana Park

The park is packed with adorable playground equipment!

Let me walk you through them one by one.

First up — the classic slide!

This slide is built nice and low, so even tiny tots can enjoy it safely!

And here’s another fun piece!

A colorful ladybug — or maybe a dragonfly? This gentle seesaw rocks softly, making it just right for little ones.

And what’s this — a giant broad bean?!

The little hole is so inviting — kids can’t resist crawling inside!

Another covered bench area awaits over here!

Look right in front of you!

Sparkling blue sea right below — what a refreshing view!

Cherry blossom trees surround the entire park.
During sakura season, the contrast of soft pink petals against the deep blue ocean is absolutely stunning — it’s a hidden gem for hanami (cherry blossom viewing)!

The shoreline below is also part of Osakibana Park, but during my visit the tide didn’t cooperate, so I couldn’t get down to the water… maybe next time!

With kid-friendly playground gear, sweeping ocean views, and seasonal flowers, Osakibana Park is a delightful spot for travelers exploring Minamata.
Come see it for yourself!
