Introducing Nishikajio Park

Hello travelers! I’m Asukarando, a writer for [SaruKuma].

Today I’m introducing a lovely little spot located in Nishikajio-machi, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City
[Nishikajio Park].

We dropped by this park for a bit of casual play and had such a relaxing time that I just had to share it with all of you (*^.^*)

The entrance to Nishikajio Park has a gentle slope, so it’s easy to enter even with a stroller!

The restrooms were beautifully maintained and feature Western-style toilets — a real plus for international visitors.

There’s also a hand-washing station right near the park entrance (^^)

You’ll also find covered benches with a roof!
Since there aren’t any large trees around, the shaded covered benches were a lifesaver for taking a break (((^^;)

There are even more benches scattered throughout the park (^^)

A vending machine is just a short walk away — perfect for grabbing a cold drink on hot days.

Top Highlights of Nishikajio Park

The first thing that catches your eye — an impressively tall slide!!

Compared to my child’s height, can you tell just how tall it really is…(´Д｀)

For little ones, the slide is quite high, and honestly the parents were more nervous than the kids when sending them down (((^^;)
There’s also a sandbox right under the slide!

And there’s a classic spring-rider toy too~ (^-^)v

Inside Nishikajio Park you’ll find seasonal flowers, butterflies, and grasshoppers, and we had a blast chasing them around with the kids!

The grassy open area is just the right size for a little stroll (or some good exercise…)!
It’s a perfect park for a quick play before lunch or to tire the kids out before naptime — fingers crossed they nap today too~ (*^.^*)

Nishikajio Park may be small, but it’s a wonderful place to spend laid-back time with little ones (*^.^*)
