Introducing the Nishisato Childcare Support Center

Today I’m featuring a wonderful spot located in Suzurikawa-machi, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City:
[Nishisato Childcare Support Center]

Let me introduce the ‘Nishisato Childcare Support Center,’ located inside Kumamoto Municipal Nishisato Nursery School (*^^*)

It’s just a quick turn from the Suzurikawa-machi traffic light – super easy to find!

Parking is available right in front of the ‘Nishisato Nursery School’ building.
Since the entrance is shared with the nursery school, the sliding gate is kept closed between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM for security reasons.
Please open and close the gate yourself when entering or leaving.

After getting out of your car, you’ll find another gate.
This one is also kept locked for safety, so please open and close it yourself to enter.

How to Use the ‘Nishisato Childcare Support Center’ (^^)／＼(^^)

[Who Can Use It]

・Pre-school age children accompanied by parents or guardians who live in Kumamoto City, work in Kumamoto City, or are visiting Kumamoto City for a temporary stay (such as during postpartum recovery).

[Opening Hours]

Monday – Saturday

Morning 9:30 AM – 11:45 AM

Afternoon 1:15 PM – 4:30 PM

(Closed on Sundays, public holidays, and during the New Year holiday period)

[How to Reserve]

Up to three families can use the center at the same time.

You can book your next visit when you arrive, or call ahead to reserve. Same-day reservations are also accepted.

(Phone reservation hours: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM) Since the phone line is shared with the nursery school, please mention “Support Center reservation” when calling.

The entrance to the property is shared with the nursery school’s gate.

And of course, my child is already pulling out all the toys… (((^^;)

There’s even a play kitchen that everyone loves! (*^.^*)
The toys are stored with photo labels, so children can easily look, choose, and grab them on their own.

There’s a wide variety of toys here! (^-^)v
They even have plenty of Anpanman toys, which are a Japanese kids’ favorite!!

There are also lovely warm wooden toys to play with (*^.^*)

The staff will even suggest age-appropriate toys and activities to suit your child!

Right next door, there’s a huge, spacious hall!!
It’s so big, you’ll find yourself wondering, “Are we really allowed to run this much?” The kids had an absolute blast running around freely (^-^)

There’s also a jungle gym and swings, so kids can really get their energy out even on rainy days! (^-^)v

There’s even a rare long indoor slide that my kids went down again and again (^^)

The winding maze that the teacher made for us was a huge hit with the children, and parents got to join in on the fun too! (^-^)v

* Please note that the hall may be unavailable due to weather conditions or nursery school events.

The support center teacher watches over everyone and even joins in the play (*^^*)
You can also get parenting advice – the teachers are experienced moms themselves, and their tips are incredibly helpful!

Diaper changing is available right inside the support room!

The toilets are shared with the nursery school children (so no photos), but they’re sized and built at heights that are easy for little ones to use (^^)
