About Asoda 3-chome Asoda Park

Today I’m excited to introduce a hidden gem located in Asoda, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City:
Asoda 3-chome Asoda Park.

Tucked away inside a quiet residential neighborhood, this surprisingly spacious and fun park is a real find — and I had a wonderful time exploring it (*^.^*)

Asoda 3-chome Asoda Park has three entrances, and the entire park is enclosed by a fence, which gives parents extra peace of mind (^^)

One entrance only has stairs, so if you’re using a stroller, we recommend choosing one of the other entrances!

All three entrances have bicycle parking.
Note: there is no car parking available.

The restrooms are Western-style.
When I visited, the cleaning staff was on site and the facilities were sparkling clean.

There are plenty of trees throughout the park, providing lots of shade — perfect for a comfortable visit, even on warmer days.

There are also covered tables and chairs, making it a great spot for a bento lunch or a snack break (^3^)/

Plenty of benches are scattered throughout the park as well.

Top Highlights of Asoda 3-chome Asoda Park

Despite being tucked into a residential area, this park has a wonderfully spacious open lawn!

Even better — the park is split into two sections, so there’s actually a second open lawn as well (*^.^*)

There’s even a walking path that loops around the park.

There’s a cute Kumamon-themed ride that moves nice and slowly, so it’s safe and fun even for the smallest visitors (^_-)

There’s a slide too!

The slide’s stairs are nice and wide, making it easy for little ones to climb (^^)

These are fitness-style equipment, but the kids quickly invented all kinds of creative ways to play on them and had a blast!

Here are the park’s posted rules and guidelines. It looks like bicycle practice is allowed too (*^.^*)

There are several supermarkets and bento (boxed lunch) shops in the area surrounding Asoda 3-chome Asoda Park, so it’s easy to swing by for some food on your way and turn it into a relaxed picnic afternoon ~(*^o^)／＼(^-^*)~
