Today I’m taking you to a magical little spot tucked away in
Nishihara Village, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture —
《boketto》⭐︎

Opened on June 5, this charming destination is a
fusion of restaurant, lifestyle shop, and rental space all in one 😊

And wow — the whole space is incredibly stylish! 🌟

The moment you step onto the grounds,
it’s like walking into a fairy tale!!!
The scattered fallen leaves give the whole place a wistful, autumnal charm 🍂

Wait — a hammock!! 😍
Of course I had to try it out 😆

Isn’t getting on a hammock as an adult surprisingly thrilling?
It really takes balance ⭐︎

Not just for adults — kids will absolutely love it too!!

Following the little path…

…we discovered a rental space ⭐︎
On the day we visited, a dried-flower artisan had set up a pop-up shop 😄

There are several rental spaces here,
so check the official website if you’d like to rent one yourself 😊

It was run by a lovely couple — chatting with them was such a treat.

They gifted me dried hydrangeas and a pinecone 🥰

They even taught me some stylish ways to display them — eye-opening tips! 😄

And what’s more — the prices are surprisingly reasonable!!!

your space instantly looks stylish!!

My friend was completely smitten by the tableware and said we’d have to come back again 😀

After visiting so many cafés and restaurants lately, I’ve come to truly appreciate the importance of beautiful tableware ⭐︎
The right plate can transform an entire dish 😊

Further in, you’ll find bistro Garden,
which just opened on November 16.

You can dine in here, and…

…there’s also bread to take away,

plus locally grown vegetables for sale 😄
And now — onto today’s main destination!

Organic Restaurant ar ⭐︎
The chef previously cooked at the beloved Doromushi in central Kumamoto ☺️
Alright, time to head inside — let’s GO!!!!!

An open kitchen greets you right at the entrance ⭐︎
Wine glasses suspended overhead give the place such a sophisticated, grown-up feel 🌟

Inside the restaurant stand four massive wooden columns.
The wood was harvested directly from trees that had to be cleared during construction — and now they hold the building together.
A meaningful detail that gives the space deep character ⭐︎

You’ll find big communal tables like this,

and cozy sofa seats too — every single table here feels thoughtfully designed ☺️

Many of the items used in the restaurant are also for sale ♪

Even the oshibori (hand towels) are stylish🥰

Alright, let’s take a peek at the menu!

ar Salad with seasonal organic vegetables — ¥1,300
Homemade bacon, spinach & mushroom salad topped with nuts — ¥1,400
Grilled seasonal vegetables with avocado dip and balsamic sauce — ¥1,400
Hokkaido potato grill with rosemary and garlic oil — ¥1,000
White mushrooms dancing under a snowfall of Parmesan cheese — ¥1,200

Enjoy organic vegetables prepared as fresh salads or grilled to perfection.
You can really taste the natural flavors of the produce!

Vanilla ice cream with cinnamon & ginger tea powder — ¥600
Seasonal vegetable & fruit ice cream — ¥600
Original pound cake — ¥500 / Sweet of the day — ¥600
Silky pudding with coffee jelly — ¥500

Even the sweeteners are natural — they use unrefined sugar ⭐︎
The organic philosophy carries through to every detail ⭐︎

There are also meat dishes, fish dishes, bread, rice plates, and more ☺️

This time I tried the pound cake (¥500) 🥰

One bite, and I couldn’t stop smiling 😂
Because it was just absolutely my kind of flavor 😍

Nostalgic and gently sweet — and then!!!
The marmalade on the side was incredible!!!
The marmalade is no supporting act — it’s a star in its own right!!!

As a kid I always disliked the marmalade that came with school lunches,
but as an adult I’ve completely fallen for that sweet-and-bitter harmony 🤣

I’m pretty sure this marmalade is one of the items they sell in the shop ☺️

There’s outdoor seating too 🍂
On a sunny day, dining outside here would feel absolutely wonderful 😀
