About the Cafe
Hello there!
This is Rennyu, a writer for Sarukuma.
Today I’m introducing a charming spot tucked away in Kamimashiki District, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“wallet -walet-“.

You’ll find a spacious parking lot right in front of the cafe.

There’s room for plenty of cars!
It’s wide and roomy, making it easy to park even for nervous drivers (๑>◡<๑)
Walk through the entryway and head straight ahead — that’s where you’ll find the cafe entrance.
On your left as you walk in, there’s an adorable little gift shop area ♡
It’s the kind of space that makes your heart skip a beat!

You’ll never get bored even while waiting!
You’re also welcome to visit just the gift shop.

Scones and homemade jam are available for takeout, too!

The waiting room was decked out in Christmas decor when we visited.
Since we came on a weekday afternoon, there was no wait at all and we were seated right away.

We were seated on the sofa in the kids’ room ♡
The plush, oversized sofa is comfy and safe even for little ones!

They also have high chairs, bouncers, and Bumbo seats ready to go (^^)

There’s a kids’ play area right next door, free for everyone to use ☺︎
Moms and dads can finally relax and enjoy a meal in peace!
Recommended Menu
This time we ordered from the lunch menu:
Polpetti (meatballs made from a blend of Akaushi beef and Daichi-no-Megumi pork) with mac & cheese, and
Carbonara with Nishinohara Jikyuen natural eggs and salt-cured Daichi-no-Megumi pork.

Polpetti (meatballs of Akaushi beef and Daichi-no-Megumi pork) with mac & cheese
The meatballs are mixed with nuts and herbs, served in a rich cheese-based sauce.
Cheese lovers will be in heaven with this indulgent, creamy sauce ♡(⁎⁍̴̆Ɛ⁍̴̆⁎)

Carbonara with Nishinohara Jikyuen natural eggs and salt-cured Daichi-no-Megumi pork
The sauce is bursting with the rich umami flavor of fresh farm eggs, and the
aged, salt-cured Daichi-no-Megumi pork adds the perfect savory accent ♡
Both dishes are stylish AND seriously satisfying — even guys will leave full and happy!

Both meals come as a set with salad, soup, a drink, and dessert.
We had coffee, orange juice, café au lait pudding, and matcha pudding!
A cafe where parents and kids alike can enjoy a stylish, relaxing lunch ♡
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
