Today I’d like to introduce you to a hidden gem located in Haramizu, Kikuyo Town, Kikuchi District, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“Misaki (Misaki Co., Ltd.)”.

Turning off Route 57 and following a quiet side road, my eye was instantly caught by an irresistible sign:
[Roast Beef Pita Pockets] [Factory Direct Sales].
How could I possibly drive past that?

I parked right next to the factory and headed in.

Misaki Co., Ltd. is a working factory specializing in food for weddings and banquets, commercial frozen foods, roast beef, terrines, and pastry products — so my expectations were sky-high before I even stepped inside.

Walking around to the front, I spotted a little bell on the counter.
Feeling a tiny bit nervous, I gave it a gentle ding — and a friendly staff member appeared from the back.

“One pita pocket, please!”
“Sure thing — one pita coming up.”
A quick, easy transaction.

By the way, the pita pockets are also available for advance reservation, so if you know exactly how many you want, calling ahead is a great idea.

I happily picked up the [Roast Beef Pita Pocket (500 yen)].
A full roast beef sandwich for just 500 yen? That’s almost too good to be true!

Back home, I opened the package and got a delightful surprise.
The portion is huge!
And they include a generous packet of sauce — way more than you’d expect.

The pita is absolutely packed with roast beef — my stomach was practically yelling, “Hurry up and feed me!”

Time to drizzle on the sauce and dig in.

I had to ask myself — really, only 500 yen for this?
The meat is so juicy and tender, it completely blew me away.

The crisp, fresh vegetables and tangy tomato sauce balance perfectly with the rich roast beef, which fills your mouth with every single bite. Pure indulgence.
