📌 What You’ll Learn in This Article
A SaruKuma writer visited “Kurashiki Coffee” in Kamigo, Minami-ku, Kumamoto City, and shares a firsthand report. Price guide: from 410 yen. Includes family-friendly tips, access info, and opening hours.

Hello, travelers!
This is Ayu-mama, writer for “SaruKuma.”

There’s a famous Japanese song called “Coffee Rumba” — a sweet little tune about an Arabian sage who taught a heartbroken man the secret of a fragrant amber-colored drink that would awaken his soul.
It’s the kind of cheerful melody that makes you smile — and also the perfect way to introduce today’s destination!

So, today I’m thrilled to introduce a charming spot located in Kamigo, Minami-ku, Kumamoto City:
【Kurashiki Coffee】
Kurashiki Coffee is operated by the Saint Marc Group — yes, the same group behind the famous “Choco Cro” pastries at Saint Marc Cafe!
The Kumamoto branch is located inside AEON Town Nishi-Kumamoto.

This is the only Kurashiki Coffee location in all of Kumamoto Prefecture!
And here’s a big plus for visitors — you can use the AEON Town parking lot, making access super convenient.
Here are the opening hours. Surprisingly, they’re open until 22:00 (10 PM)!
Takeout is also available — perfect for travelers on the go!
The interior has a calming Japanese-modern aesthetic — the kind of cozy space where you’ll easily lose track of time.
There are plenty of table seats, and a separate smoking room is available toward the back of the cafe.
Magazines are also available, so you can sit back, relax, and truly unwind.
Children’s chairs are also provided.
There are even picture books available — making this a family-friendly cafe that warmly welcomes children!
The ladies’ restroom is even equipped with a diaper-changing station.

A coffee shop where you can comfortably enjoy time with your kids — what a treat!

Recommended Menu

Here’s a look at the menu:

Specialty Coffee
Morning Set & Weekday Lunch (the morning set is incredibly affordable and looks delicious!)
Drinks (Hot & Iced)
Japanese-Style Drinks & Sandwiches
Hot Sandwiches & Light Meals
French Toast, Parfaits & Cakes
Japanese-Style Parfait

Beyond just drinks, the food selection is impressively diverse!

There are also kid-friendly options such as orange juice and egg sandwiches — a wonderful touch for families traveling with little ones!
And here’s an exciting detail: hot coffee is brewed and served using a traditional siphon!
How elegant!
This time, I tried one of their most popular menu items:
Cafe Latte — 410 yen (excluding tax)!
Just look at this!
Such gorgeous, fluffy foam!
The foam is incredibly creamy and finely textured, piled on top in generous quantities!

The coffee itself is smooth and clean — wonderfully easy to drink!
And the portion is so generous you’ll leave completely satisfied!

If you’re shopping at AEON Town Nishi-Kumamoto, be sure to stop by Kurashiki Coffee for a truly relaxing break!
