Today I’m introducing
a fantastic conveyor belt sushi spot in Hikarinomori, Kikuyo Town, Kikuchi District, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“Muten Kura Sushi Hikarinomori”.

A budget-friendly 100-yen conveyor belt sushi chain that’s a real ally for families and travelers alike!

It’s conveniently located right next to YouMe Town Hikarinomori shopping mall ♪

There’s plenty of parking available too!

That said, this is a very popular spot, so
the parking lot often fills up during peak meal times.
Plan accordingly!

Seating is mostly at table booths,
with some counter seats also available.

One of the things that makes Kura Sushi stand out is that every plate moving on the conveyor belt has
a protective hygienic cover—super reassuring!

Sushi is ordered through a touchscreen panel, but
you can also place orders directly from your own smartphone using their official app (so handy)!

High chairs for kids are available too!

(On this day many were already in use due to the crowd, but normally there are plenty more on hand.)

This is the self-service drinking water corner,
where you’ll also find kids’ plates and cutlery ♪

The restroom area features a multi-purpose toilet,
which also has a diaper-changing station inside ♬

Today my goal was to try the Kura Lunch set!

I’d seen Kura Sushi featured on a Japanese TV show recently, so I had to check it out for myself!

Kura Lunch from 500 yen

Includes either chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard) or miso soup, all from 500 yen—incredibly reasonable!

There’s also a special Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) collaboration menu—a huge hit with kids ♪

Demon Slayer Nigiri — 200 yen

Tanjiro’s Bukkake Udon — 280 yen

Nezuko’s Berry-Loaded Ice Cream — 280 yen

Lactic Acid Bacteria Water — 180 yen

In addition to the regular menu, this special fair was running too!
