Today I’m excited to introduce you to a charming spot located in Toshima, Higashi-ku, Kumamoto City:
“Cocha TERRACE”

Within the Cocha TERRACE grounds, you’ll also find Inti Cocha, a beautiful gardening design company.
The restrooms are located inside Inti Cocha — a lovely surprise during your visit!

The Cocha TERRACE parking area is a gravel lot located behind the shop.

Inside Cocha TERRACE, you’ll find 2 table seats, 2 cozy sofa seats,

and 3 counter seats.

Children’s chairs are available too, making this a wonderfully family-friendly spot.

There’s also a private terrace room on the Inti Cocha side
available for lunch only, with a 2-hour time limit.
Inside, you’ll find a Bumbo seat and picture books, and the tatami-style flooring means parents with little ones can enjoy lunch without worrying about disturbing other guests — wonderful, isn’t it?

Cocha TERRACE Recommended Menu

Here’s a look at the lunch menu at Cocha TERRACE:
BUTA Don Set (Pork Rice Bowl) — 1,280 yen
Chicken Nanban — 1,220 yen
Croque-Monsieur — 1,280 yen
Margherita Toast — 1,220 yen

Wait — what is this?! Strawberry lovers, brace yourselves.
It’s a parade of strawberries in parfait form!

First up, I tried the Fondant au Chocolat — 690 yen.
Pro tip: enjoy it while it’s still warm for the best experience!

Just look at that molten chocolate flowing out!
I want to savor every last drop.

The chocolate is rich, deep, and absolutely delicious.

It’s not too sweet — there’s a slight bitter note that keeps it light enough to finish without feeling overwhelmed.
A must-try for any chocolate lover!

And of course — I had to order it.
Strawberry Parfait — 1,650 yen

Just look at it. Pure indulgence from first glance.

Those plump strawberries bursting from the top are absolutely glorious.
How much more strawberry-packed can a parfait possibly get?
I’m just so grateful — truly!

From the very top to the bottom, every layer reveals
strawberries, strawberries, and more strawberries!

I was absolutely enchanted just by the look of it.

Oh wow!!!
SO good!! Strawberries are pure justice!

Paired with the whipped cream, the gentle sweetness blends perfectly with
the sweet-tart flavor of the strawberries — beautifully balanced and utterly luxurious.

And then — pistachio ice cream emerged from deeper down!
As a pistachio fanatic, this parfait was practically made for me.
The pistachio ice cream itself is incredible —
and it pairs absolutely beautifully with the strawberries.

Bite after bite, more strawberries kept appearing —
it was pure excitement that just wouldn’t stop!
I couldn’t put my spoon down, savoring those juicy strawberries right down to the very last bite.

The strawberry parfait at Cocha TERRACE truly feels like
a sit-down strawberry picking experience!

It’s so deliciously dreamy that it brings out the joyful, childlike excitement in everyone.
