Hello there!
This is Asukarando, your Sarukuma writer.

Today we’re heading to Nishi-ku, Kumamoto City to explore
“Shimasaki 2-chome Park”.

This cozy little park is tucked away among apartment buildings and homes.

There’s also a spacious grassy area — perfect for stretching out and relaxing! (^-^)/

A covered rest area with benches makes a great spot to take a breather (^-^)

Plenty of benches are scattered all around the park, too.

There are even some pieces that look like a cross between a table and a bench.

The height was just right for sitting, so I parked myself there — meanwhile, the kids crouched down and used them as little tables!

Here’s the restroom — a small but functional facility.

A single hand-washing station sits right next to the covered rest area.

You’ll find vending machines just outside the park,
in two locations on the neighboring apartment grounds.
They’re easy to spot from inside the park (^-^)

The very first thing my kid sprinted toward? The swings ☆

A timeless favorite at every park, isn’t it? (^-^)

There are two slides — one big and one small.

With two slides, kids can race down side by side with friends or with mom! (^-^)

My kid quickly made friends with another little girl and the two of them slid down hand in hand ☆

There’s also play equipment designed for smaller children (^-^)/

And right next to it, you’ll find a sandbox too! (^-^)/
