T-FLOWERS GIFT&CAFE: A Charming Flower Shop & Cafe in Nihongi, Kumamoto City
2020.07.09

A Sarukuma writer’s firsthand visit report on “T-FLOWERS GIFT&CAFE,” a charming cafe in Kumamoto City. Price range: from 990 yen. Includes family-friendly tips, access info, and opening hours.
Hello and welcome! It’s lovely to meet you!
I’m Saa-mama, a writer for Sarukuma.
Today, I’m excited to introduce you to a wonderful spot in Nihongi, Kumamoto City:
“T-FLOWERS GIFT&CAFE”.

Heading from Kumamoto Station toward the Nihongi area, you’ll find this delightful cafe.

The shop is right along the road and easy to spot. If the parking entrance is hard to find, just look for the building with the blue roof as your landmark.
As you enter the parking area, there are 5 spots right here, and
3 more spots over here, for a total of 8 parking spaces.
The moment I stepped out of the car, the aroma of curry spices wafted through the air and instantly made me hungry.

Here’s a map of the parking area.
Please note that any other parking spots belong to the neighboring apartment residents, so be sure to park in the designated spaces.

This was posted in the restroom.

There’s also one lovely terrace seat available.

Stepping inside, you’re greeted by an adorable, stylish interior that feels both cozy and chic.

It’s easy to see why this spot is so popular with women.
But it’s not just ladies — I noticed plenty of couples enjoying the atmosphere too.

The seating includes four 2-person tables, one 4-person table, and one 6-person table.
I didn’t see any high chairs, so if you’re traveling with a small child, bringing a stroller might be your best option.
The spacing between tables is generous, so there’s plenty of room to maneuver a stroller comfortably.
Reservations are only accepted for the opening times of 11:00 or 11:30 AM. After that, it’s first-come, first-served.
Recommended Menu

The curry menu is impressively varied, and every option looks delicious.

You’ll also find taco rice, homemade quiche, and focaccia on the menu.

This time, I ordered the Asian Taco Rice (Ladies’ Size, 990 yen + tax) and

the Homemade Quiche and Prosciutto Cotto Half Sandwich (1,090 yen + tax).

The Asian Taco Rice has a gentle kick of spice — mild enough that even expectant mothers can enjoy it — and the portion is so generous that I was completely full, yet it was so delicious I finished every bite!
I actually came specifically for this quiche, and it didn’t disappoint — thick and hearty, with a crispy crust and a soft, fluffy filling. Absolutely heavenly!

Here’s the coffee menu, and

they also offer organic drinks, lassi, and more.

After my meal, I enjoyed an Organic Earl Grey Tea.
The tea leaves had a rich, full flavor and a wonderful aroma — truly delicious. You can choose between lemon, milk, or straight.
If you order from the food menu, drinks are 150 yen off, which is a great deal!
The dessert menu is wonderfully extensive too.

With so many dessert options to choose from, deciding is half the fun!

They also offer limited-edition seasonal parfaits!
The current featured option is the Sparkling Tropical Parfait, made with 8 different fruits.
The parfait selection rotates with the seasons, so I always check what’s new. I can’t wait to see the next one.
This time I was too full to try one, but next visit, I’m definitely getting curry AND a parfait!

The shop is also filled with beautiful flowers!
They’d be perfect for decorating your home or as a thoughtful gift.

Prices are clearly displayed, which I really appreciated.

Right next to the register, you’ll find a tempting selection of Belgian waffles, chocolate chip scones, and other baked goods that practically beg you to take some home.
They make wonderful souvenirs or treats for the kids!
Here’s the food takeout menu, and

they also offer a drink takeout menu.
It’s a lovely way to enjoy the cafe’s flavors at home.
