Today we’re introducing
“Nogami Hanare Kumamoto,”
which newly opened on July 28th in
Minamitsuboi-machi, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City!

This is a specialty “nama shokupan” (premium fresh milk bread) bakery with its main store in Osaka, Kansai region.
In February of this year, they held a limited pop-up at the famous Tsuruya department store!

I visited just after their opening, and luckily because it was a Monday — normally their closed day —
they had only the regular size still available even in the late afternoon.

(I didn’t sneak behind the counter — the lovely cashier kindly stepped aside so I could take the photo. Haha!)

They close as soon as they sell out, even before official closing time,
so if you really want to try it, mornings are your safest bet.
Starting next month, reservations will begin from mid-August,
so if your schedule is tight, wait until reservations open!

Now about Nogami’s nama shokupan — it’s a beautifully dense, packed loaf (if that’s the right way to describe it!)
with a delicate, perfectly balanced honey sweetness.

It makes for a wonderfully indulgent breakfast
and we highly recommend it.

Pair it with their jam as a little gift —
it’s sure to delight whoever receives it!

There are 4 dedicated parking spaces
right in front of the shop.
It’s a bit tight, but they recommend using it!
