Patisserie Mille Rire,
a charming pastry shop located in Nishihara, Higashi-ku, Kumamoto City.

The soft pale-blue exterior is absolutely adorable!
There’s parking right in front of the shop with about 3 spaces available β super convenient!

Step inside and you’ll find a beautiful selection of baked goods,
with elegant interior decor that’s a feast for the eyes!

They also have lovely cookie assortment boxes β perfect as souvenirs!
Box of 24 cookies: 2,100 yen
Box of 36 cookies: 3,150 yen

Cream Cheese SoufflΓ©: 150 yen
Japanese Chestnut Roll Cake: 1,350 yen
Pure Cream Roll Cake: 1,100 yen

They have whole cakes too β perfect for celebrations!
The presentations are so cute and creative that just looking at them makes you excited to dig in!

And here’s the famous Iwa Choux (Rock-style Cream Puff): 150 yen
The textured surface of this cream puff already looks heavenly!
The Danish Cornet: 190 yen is also a must-try β
with caramel drizzled over the flaky pastry, it’s irresistible!

You’ll also find a Strawberry Vanilla Cake and a Chocolate Banana Cake!
A chocolate banana cake is pretty rare to find β definitely worth trying!

There were chocolate cakes and Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc available too!
Mont Blanc this time of year is simply the best β a true seasonal treat!

And then I spotted β
Large Fruit Almond Jelly: 2,350 yen
An absolutely enormous fruit-topped almond jelly!
You can experience that refreshing deliciousness forever… pure bliss.

Ohhhhhh thank you so much!
Just as expected β it’s absolutely PACKED with custard!!!
The sweetness is perfectly balanced, leaving you completely satisfied β
this is one seriously generous cream puff!
The choux pastry is wonderfully crispy and you never get tired of it β
you could eat these forever!
Wait… did I already finish it? When?!
That’s how quickly it disappears, lol!
