Welcome to Orutana Kitchen

Hi everyone, this is Gachako from the Sarukuma team!

Today I’m taking you to Masunaga, Arao City (along the road to Arao Municipal Hospital)
to a wonderful spot called Orutana Kitchen.

The chef previously cooked at a hotel and then at a maternity clinic famous for its delicious meals,
before opening this independent restaurant on July 5, 2022.

Based on the timing, I may have actually enjoyed this chef’s cooking when I gave birth to my own child — what a lovely coincidence!
And the food was absolutely incredible.

The parking lot is located right beneath this signboard.

It’s a slightly narrow space — be sure to park inside the yellow rope.
There are 4 parking spots available, but if it’s full, just ask a staff member for help.

There’s also a second parking lot available nearby.

Two types of appetizers and homemade soup are all-you-can-eat?!
This is a foodie’s dream come true (yes, I’m the foodie).

You order and pay at a self-service ticket machine, though it was under maintenance during my visit.
In addition to cash, the restaurant also accepts credit cards and electronic money — very convenient! ✨

Wagyu & Black Pork Hamburg Steak (180g) … 1,000 yen
Kinako Pork Milanese Cutlet … 980 yen
Miyazaki Young Chicken Nanban with Black Vinegar Sauce … 880 yen
Squid Tentacle Isobe-style Fritto … 850 yen
European-style Curry with Wagyu Beef Tendon … 780 yen
…and many more. For an additional 250 yen, you can add the all-you-can-eat soup and two-appetizer set to any meal.

Recommended Dishes at Orutana Kitchen

I ordered the Kinako Pork Milanese Cutlet.
It’s hard to tell without a size comparison, but the plate is huge — and so is the meat!

Of course, I added the +250 yen all-you-can-eat option…

…and got fresh vegetables with bagna cauda…

…sweet potato simmered in lemon…

…and minestrone soup, all completely unlimited!!
Including water, everything is self-service.

The cutlet sauce features capers and basil — both visually stunning and incredibly flavorful!
The crispy pork paired with the rich, juicy sauce was pure happiness in every bite.

My friend ordered the Miyazaki Young Chicken Nanban with Black Vinegar Sauce.
This dish also features generously sized chicken. And no, that lemon isn’t tiny — the chicken is just that big!

It comes with a generous heap of homemade tartar sauce!
The combination of egg-rich tartar and tangy black vinegar chicken is utterly satisfying — comfort food at its finest.

You’ll leave incredibly full.
Come on an empty stomach — trust me!
