February Highlights

We held another session of “Kasumiso Hiroba,” a community gathering born from Kumamoto Prefecture’s parenting website, Sarukuma!

This time, we welcomed Arisa-san, who teaches kids’ yoga and yoga for moms in Koshi City.

Moms are usually so busy with housework and childcare that they rarely get a chance to take a deep breath or just lie down and relax.
We stretched out on the spacious tatami floor of the main hall, used our little ones as gentle weights, and even picked up some helpful tips on better posture for everyday life!

Arisa-san is based in Koshi City and will be restarting her yoga classes for moms and kids’ yoga sessions from April, so be sure to check out her account!

As always, Yusui Nursery School Toyooka kindly lent us a height/weight scale and a variety of fun toys for the kids.

How to Apply for the Next Event

The next gathering is on Wednesday, March 18th.
We’ll be making baby handprints and footprints, plus enjoying a relaxing hand massage.

Same-day cancellations and coming/leaving partway through the event are absolutely fine!
Parking: Free
Restrooms: Western-style toilets, no baby guards, but the multipurpose room has a diaper-changing table
Breastfeeding is welcome!
If you need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask the staff.
You’re welcome to join whether you live in Koshi City or not, and whether your child is a baby or older!
It’s totally fine if your child cries, runs around, arrives late, or leaves early!
Kids will be kids — no worries at all!

Every month, the principal of Yusui Nursery School Toyooka joins us at the gathering.
They lend us tools and toys for our activities, and even bring along the height/weight scale.
The principal is happy to answer questions about choosing a nursery school, and even share what it’s like to actually work at one.
During our gatherings, you might even spot a baby cozily settled on the principal’s lap! Lol
