Introducing cielcafé

Hello there! It’s Aikero, your Sarukuma writer.

Today I’m excited to introduce a charming spot located in Hanazono, Nishi Ward, Kumamoto City:
cielcafé
Opened last December, this place serves as a cozy café by day and transforms into a relaxed bar by night, where you can enjoy delicious drinks (^^)/
It’s perfect whether you’re flying solo, meeting up with friends for lunch, or bringing the kids along for a family meal ♪

You’ll find it along the road heading from Kumamoto Prefectural Route 1 (Kumamoto-Tamana Line) toward the West Bypass.
The signs and flags out front make it easy to spot, even for first-time visitors.
Maybe you’ve driven past and wondered about it yourself?

With parking for 20 cars, you can come with a big group without worrying about space ♪
The interior is bright and naturally welcoming ♡
There’s also counter seating, so it’s super easy to drop in by yourself!
There’s also a larger table area for groups.
This room can be partitioned off, giving you that private-room feel!

One of the best perks? A big-screen TV where you can watch movies, anime, or sports games.
Plus, there’s a Nintendo Switch you’re welcome to play!
It’s a place where both kids and parents can truly relax and enjoy themselves (●^o^●)
Just be considerate and keep the volume down when other guests are around, please ♪Now, let’s check out that lunch menu you’ve been waiting for!

● Pasta + Salad ¥1,000

The evening menu is a curated lineup of the owner’s personal favorites ♪
With plans to update the menu in the future, there’s always something new to look forward to (^^)/

Sweet treats include kid-favorite croffles (croissant waffles), Basque cheesecake, and fondant chocolate — all the perfect companion to a freshly brewed coffee ♪

By the way, the table and chairs in the photo are kid-sized!
When children are dining, this can be used as a special little table just for them (^^)/
Outside, you can even fire up a BBQ!
It’s not on the official menu, but it’s available both during lunch and dinner hours.
Due to lighting, this BBQ spot is for daytime use only — at night, BBQs take place right by the entrance door.

The number of guests and BBQ details can be tailored to your budget, but please be sure to inquire in advance (^^)
Since evening hours aren’t every day, it’s safest to consult and reserve early!
For larger groups, beer and highballs can even be served by the keg ♪

cielcafé Recommended Menu

Since I’d already had lunch, I treated myself to the dessert of the day paired with a coffee (^^)/
See that mint leaf perched on top of the cheesecake?
It’s actually grown right outside and freshly picked just for you ♪
The moment it arrived at my table, I was wrapped up in that lovely fresh mint aroma — pure bliss!
The Basque cheesecake is crafted to perfectly pair with coffee, so the sweetness hits just the right note ♪
Each cake is carefully made in-house.
It’s wonderfully moist with a rich, full-bodied cheese flavor — absolutely delicious!
The coffee carries a lovely hint of bitterness with a clean, refreshing finish.
This isn’t a drip coffee — it’s an Americano made from freshly pulled espresso shots.
With its deep coffee character, it pairs so wonderfully with the cheesecake’s sweetness that I savored every single sip ♪
The gentleman in the photo is the owner of cielcafé.

At cielcafé, the espresso isn’t pulled by an automatic machine — it’s extracted entirely by hand.
It takes precise timing and serious care, but watching each cup come to life is genuinely mesmerizing ♫
I mean, just look at that smile — you can see his warmth shining through (●^o^●) haha

Don’t you ever feel a bit nervous walking into a new place for the first time?
I still do, honestly! But the owner’s friendly, easy-going vibe melted those nerves away in seconds.
When I asked if I could snap some photos for the blog, he was more than happy to pose (^^)/

It turns out the Coffee Master wears many hats beyond running this café.
Even with how busy he is, you can just tell he’s having a blast — and once you have a chat with him yourself, I’m sure you’ll feel the same way (*’ω’*)
