Today we’re heading to Arao City in Kumamoto Prefecture to check out
Haru Cafe Kitchen.

Conveniently located near Greenland Resort (Kyushu’s largest amusement park), Haru Cafe Kitchen opened just last November. Stepping inside, you’re greeted by the lovely scent of fresh wood — it’s a warm, Japanese-style cafe with a cozy, welcoming vibe (*^.^*)

Even the entrance door has charming character (*^.^*)

Inside, counter seating dominates with just two table seats available. We saw solo diners enjoying their meal, but most guests were families dining together side-by-side at the counter — a fun, casual setup.

Families usually gravitate toward table seats, but counter seating with kids turns out to be a delightful change of pace ☆

Hamburger steak! Tori-ten! Cheese katsu! Plus fresh vegetables! A wonderful sampler that lets you enjoy multiple Japanese flavors in one meal (^^)

The hamburger steak comes topped with grated daikon radish — a light, Japanese-style preparation that pairs beautifully with white rice (*^.^*)

The tori-ten (Kyushu-style chicken tempura) is shockingly tender!

The side dish plate is a delight too (^^)

The black tea jelly dessert is fragrant and refreshing — a perfect palate cleanser to round off your meal (^^)

There’s no specific kids’ menu, but this mini curry rice at this price is a real win — generous portion for the cost!

Meat and vegetables melt into a mild, slightly sweet curry — gentle enough for children but flavorful enough for adults to truly enjoy!

The Chicken Nanban Set is one of Haru Cafe Kitchen’s most popular dishes.

Generously coated in tartar sauce, it’s filling and flavorful — easy to see why it’s a customer favorite!
