GENTOS CAFE & MUSIC, a stylish ocean-view cafe.
Tucked on the second floor of the seaside Uto Marina, GENTOS catches every ocean breeze β and during summer, it transforms into a kids’ splash paradise. We just had to check it out!
Right next door, you’ll find Michi-no-Eki Okoshiki-kan roadside station.

GENTOS sits at the top of a grand staircase. No worries if you have a stroller β there’s an elevator on the side too!
Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the cafe with natural light and sweeping ocean views β it feels like stepping into a beachside resort.
There’s even a kids’ play space! Little ones can play with toys while gazing out at the open sea β pure bliss for families.

A splash pool area for toddlers through elementary-aged kids has arrived!
Swim diapers are allowed, but a swimsuit must be worn over them.
Staff will explain everything carefully if it’s your first visit, but here’s a quick guide from us at Sarukuma!
First, one representative from your group needs to register on the cafe’s official LINE account, fill in the online
Each guest must order one drink to use the pool. (This includes everyone in your group β both children using the pool and supervising adults.)
Write your order on the form pictured and hand it to staff.
Here’s the drinks menu!
Regardless of the child’s age, every member of the group must order one drink from this menu.
Example: 2 adults + a 0-year-old + a 4-year-old β 4 drink orders required.
Note: kakigori (shaved ice) and acai bowls are listed on the order form but do NOT count as the required one drink.
Only kakigori and acai bowls are allowed at the terrace seating.
All other savory dishes must be eaten inside the cafe.
The good news? You can wear your swimsuit inside the cafe, so there’s no need to change every time you want a meal β super convenient!
Swim diapers are sold on-site too!
So even if you’ve forgotten yours, no panic β you’re covered.

Children’s swimsuits are available for purchase too!
Towels are also sold β a true lifesaver for forgetful parents.
There’s a curtained changing space right by the kids’ play area too!

The terrace right outside the cafe is filled with all kinds of pools β and the kids were instantly hooked!
There’s even a sun-shade net overhead, so you’re protected from the strongest sunshine.

Our one-drink-per-person orders arrived!
Whaaat?!
That flamingo design makes everything insanely Instagram-worthy!
Drinks that pop beautifully against the pool and ocean β major excitement!
They even have baby barley tea, which is wonderful for families with little ones.
Hydration check β and off to the pool!

Huge splashes and even bigger smiles as the kids zoomed down the slide!
Parents don’t need to enter the pool, but expect to get a little splashed (it dries fast though!).
There were even water-gun-style toys for fun water-fight battles!
All the pools are shallow and safe, with smaller compact options (without slides) perfect for the tiniest visitors. Plenty of variety to keep everyone happy!
After lots of pool fun, it was time for the ultimate kid favorite β kakigori (Japanese shaved ice)!
Shaved ice served inside a coconut shell? A first for me β and the kids were over the moon!
After a day soaking up the sun, the icy fruit treat was absolute heaven.
