Today I’m introducing Fureai Hiroba, a wonderful park located in Mifune Town, Kamimashiki District, Kumamoto Prefecture.
It’s just a 1-minute walk from the famous Mifune Dinosaur Museum.

This makes it the perfect spot to let the kids run around after exploring the museum!

The expansive grounds feature wide grass lawns, large play equipment that children love, and even fitness equipment for adults!

At the entrance, you’ll be greeted by a strikingly realistic dinosaur statue!

The parking lot sits right next to the park.

And there’s an additional gravel parking area across the way — really spacious!!

There are three covered rest areas scattered throughout the park!
On hot summer days, these shaded spots are absolute oases. Shade is everything!

You’ll find drinking fountains too!

Even the restrooms feature dinosaur illustrations!
And yes, there’s a diaper-changing station available too!

Vending machines are on-site as well — perfect for grabbing a cold drink.

There’s a zip line (Tarzan rope) too!
According to my son, “The zip line here is FAST!!” (lol)

On top of the hill, there’s a slide.

And underneath the hill — a fun little tunnel!

There’s also play equipment designed for toddlers!

And horizontal bars at the perfect height for hanging exercises!

Plenty of ways to stretch and exercise!

Dinosaurs are hiding all over the play equipment!

So cute!

And another one tucked away here!

Kids can pretend to be eaten by dinosaurs — or escape from one!

There’s even a tower with a pterosaur clinging to it — incredibly lifelike!

Of course, dinosaur-loving kids will have a blast — but with grasshoppers and butterflies fluttering around, Fureai Hiroba is also a paradise for any little bug enthusiast!
