📌 What you’ll learn in this article
A Sarukuma writer visits “Kuroishi Garden” in Koshi City and reports back. Price range: from 200 yen. We’ve also summarized family-friendly tips, access, and opening hours.

About Kuroishi Garden

Hello there! It’s Riri, your Sarukuma writer (^^♪

Today I’m introducing a Japanese sweet shop that opened on December 22, 2023 — the kind of treat you’ll crave all winter long ☆

You may remember Sunny-san introducing 【Kuroishi Garden】 last summer — well, they’ve just added a brand-new section ♪ The shop is located just one street off Route 387. The flag sometimes gets flipped over by the wind, but you’ll spot a flag and a charming handmade wooden sign out front. The tall banner makes it easy to find — no chance of getting lost ♪
Keep going and you’ll see it! There’s parking for about 15 cars on the left side of this photo (just before Kuroishi Garden), and it’s free ☆
The new addition is built right next to Kuroishi Garden’s original building (on the right) — and what a presence it has! Impossible to miss *

I just love this quirky illustration — too cute! lol

Kuroishi Garden Taiyaki Menu

Here’s the menu!

・Kuro-an Dainagon (black sweet bean paste made with Hokkaido azuki beans) — 200 yen

・Shiro-an Shonagon (white sweet bean paste) — 200 yen

Not on the regular menu, but on this day they also had Kuri-an (chestnut paste, 200 yen)!

Of course, you can eat in at Kuroishi Garden! There are wooden tables and chairs ☆
It’s so nice to be able to sit down and enjoy your treat right away (^^♪

There’s even a heated seating area for chilly winter days — what a lovely touch! I ordered one of each, and the staff kindly labeled them with sticky notes so I could tell them apart. So thoughtful (^^* Here’s me holding a taiyaki for size reference — piping hot and toasty ♪
This is the white bean Shonagon ☆ The paste looks absolutely beautiful… ( *´艸`)

And here’s the black bean Dainagon! Packed with sweet bean paste all the way down to the tail — what a generous filling ☆And here’s the chestnut version ☆ Equally indulgent — chestnut filling all the way to the tail!

A new taiyaki shop has joined Kuroishi Garden — be sure to stop by and try it for yourself (^^♪

On the same day, our family also visited the monthly marché held nearby! I’ll be sharing that adventure in a separate article ♡
