About Uto Station Park

Hello, travelers! This is Suno, writer for [Sarukuma].

Today we’re heading to Sanju-machi in Uto City to explore
[Uto Station Park].

There’s no parking lot, but the park is just a 5-minute walk from the station.
It makes a perfect little detour during a train trip through Kumamoto! ♪

We even spotted some folks enjoying bento lunches here.

Plenty of benches and seating areas are scattered throughout the park.

The restroom is located at the park entrance and is a Japanese-style (squat) toilet — good to know in advance!

Highlights of Uto Station Park

There’s a low slide just right for tiny tots, so siblings of different ages can play side by side without worry.

There’s also a unique combination unit with both a tall slide and a shorter slide built together.
You don’t see this design very often!
The slide railings are fitted with clear acrylic panels, making the equipment safe even for toddlers who have just started walking! The open ground is spacious enough for a friendly game of soccer or a round of frisbee.
