About Kagamimachi Seibu Park
Hello travelers!
This is Kondo from the SaruKuma editorial team.
Today we’re introducing Kagamimachi Seibu Park, a lovely little hidden gem located in Kagamimachi, Yatsushiro City.

Here’s the parking area for Kagamimachi Seibu Park — there’s space for about 3 cars.
Right next to the parking lot, you’ll already find playground equipment and a rest area!
The rest area has tables too, which makes it a perfect spot to enjoy a snack or a casual lunch outdoors.

The stairs leading from the parking lot down into the park are surrounded by lush trees, giving the space a wonderfully natural atmosphere.

As you head down the stairs toward the bridge that leads to the main grounds, you’ll spot a wooden adventure playset.
It comes with a swing and slide built right in.
It’s wonderful that there are play areas scattered throughout the park.

This wooden bridge connects the parking area to the open grounds.
It’s wide enough for two people to walk side by side, and you can spot koi fish swimming in the stream below.
There’s also a bucket-style swing for younger children.
This design keeps little ones safely seated, so parents can relax.

On the grounds side, you’ll find more swings, a slide, and a stone play structure perfect for climbing and sliding!

Restrooms are available, too.
There’s one near the parking lot, but the facilities on this side are larger and noticeably cleaner!
Why You’ll Love Kagamimachi Seibu Park

You can see the ocean from the parking lot! (Unfortunately, our timing was a bit off — the tide was out during our visit, so the water looked pretty far away…)
Still, just hearing the words “a park with ocean views” is enough to win us over. ☺

There were plenty of koi swimming around — you might even be able to feed them!
Just be cautious near the stream, as some spots can get slippery.

The wide-open grounds are perfect for running around, playing ball, or pretty much anything else you can think of!
Grab a picnic blanket and a packed lunch — it’s an ideal spot for a relaxed picnic day.
Kagamimachi Seibu Park is a true hidden gem — quiet, uncrowded, and perfect for unwinding at your own pace.
If you’re ever in the area, definitely make a stop!♪
