Introducing Wadamisaki Park

Hello travelers! This is Asukarando, a writer for [Saru-Kuma].

Today I’m excited to introduce you to a hidden gem located in Hama, Minamata City —
[Wadamisaki Park].

Wadamisaki Park sits right along the scenic coastal road heading toward Yunoko (*^^*)

The parking area is conveniently located right alongside the road (^-^)

The path leading into Wadamisaki Park is a gentle slope, so it’s easy to enter with strollers or carts (^^)v

A walking path loops around the park, with several benches placed along the way for a relaxing rest (^-^)

There’s even a super-long bench like this — long enough that you can lie down with plenty of room to spare (^-^)

What Makes Wadamisaki Park Special

There’s no playground equipment here, but you’ll find a wide-open grassy field!!
With no fixed equipment, the open space invites all kinds of imaginative play (^^)v

A covered bench that blends beautifully into the scenery

The area you can see in the foreground is the observation deck (^^)v

Right next to the observation deck at Wadamisaki Park, you’ll find wide table-like benches — perfect for enjoying a lunch or snack break with a sweeping ocean view (^o^)/

And here’s the view from the observation deck (^o^)/

A breathtaking 180-degree ocean panorama unfolds before you (*^^*)

And we discovered another little side path leading from Wadamisaki Park!!

It almost feels like you’ve turned into an explorer (^^)v

Keep going and…!!!

The path leads you straight down to the sea (*^^*)!!!!

At high tide, the water comes right up to the edge, so you’ll either want to check a tide chart in advance or just take your chances! (It was high tide the day I visited, so I couldn’t get up close for photos — apologies! 💦)

※Young children should always be accompanied by an adult. The path is unpaved, so please watch your footing — especially after rain!!

There’s no playground equipment, but that’s exactly the charm — a place to slow down, connect with nature, and soak in the scenery for a truly relaxing experience ☆(*^^*)☆

There’s also a large cherry blossom tree, so it’s a wonderful spot for hanami (cherry blossom viewing) in spring (^^)v
