Introducing Cafe & Bar On’s
Hello, this is Gussan, a writer for Sarukuma.
Today I’m introducing a spot located in Kandzu-honmachi, Higashi-ku, Kumamoto City:
Cafe & Bar On’s.
Cafe & Bar On’s sits right along the East Bypass.
Many of you have probably noticed its distinctive exterior while driving by.
Because the sign reads “BikersClub,” I always assumed it was a motorcycle-focused venue and never stopped in. But once I stepped inside, I discovered a wonderful spot that welcomes everyone — bike enthusiasts or not — so I’m excited to share it here.
Parking is available next to the shop and
also behind the building.
Many customers arrive on motorcycles.
Here’s a look inside.
Isn’t it stylish?
Even if you’re not into bikes, you can drop in comfortably.
Free Wi-Fi is available, and there are over five counter seats in the back, so it’s easy to visit solo too.
On the opposite side, there’s a bench-style table area, plus one terrace seat.
Just outside the window runs the East Bypass.
It’s a road I drive often,
but you can’t see inside the cafe from the street, so I had no idea such a great atmosphere was tucked away here.
There’s also a motorcycle-related shop within the venue.
They even display some seriously cool bikes — kids who love vehicles will be thrilled.
Cafe & Bar On’s Recommended Menu
Cafe & Bar On’s serves both lunch and dinner.
Lunch options include
On’s Special Omurice (omelet rice) for 1,200 yen,
Napolitan pasta for 920 yen, and Beef Curry for 950 yen, among others.
Dinner offerings include
Taco Rice for 1,250 yen, Jambalaya for 1,280 yen,
Spare Ribs for 1,280 yen,
Mushroom and Broccoli Garlic Basil Marinade for 680 yen,
and a 5-Variety Sausage Platter for 680 yen, and more.
The cafe menu features
GOKUCHEE (Drinkable Cheesecake) at 700 yen each,
NOMUTIRAMISU (Drinkable Tiramisu) from 750 yen,
OWLTEA (Tapioca Drinks) from 500 yen,
Warabi-do menu items at 700 yen each,
FRESH JUICE TOKYO at 580 yen each,
Ice Crepe Croccante from 760 yen,
and Shaved Ice (kakigori) at 500 yen each — such an irresistible lineup that
it took me ages just to decide!
This time, I ordered (from left to right):
NOMUTIRAMISU (Drinkable Tiramisu) Vienna Coffee style — no whipped cream version — for 800 yen,
GOKUCHEE (Drinkable Cheesecake) Blueberry for 700 yen,
and OWLTEA (Tapioca Drink) for 550 yen.
I went with the GOKUCHEE Blueberry Drinkable Cheesecake,
and the crunchy biscuit topping made it absolutely delicious.
Of course, they also offer classic options like coffee for 350 yen, cafe latte for 400 yen, and juice for 350 yen.
I don’t know a thing about motorcycles,
but Cafe & Bar On’s turned out to be far more approachable than I expected,
and I can already tell I’ll be dropping by casually from now on.
