Introducing Cake Shop Oyatsuya 3-ji

Hello, travelers! This is Miruku, a writer for [Sarukuma].

Today I’m excited to introduce you to a charming little bakery located in Shichijo Town, Kikuchi City:
[Cake Shop Oyatsuya 3-ji].

I discovered the most wonderful cake shop right here in my hometown of Shichijo Town 😊

Because the owner runs everything entirely on her own, the shop is only open on Saturdays and Sundays — making it an incredibly rare cake shop to visit! ❣️

I often drive past this place on weekdays, so I could never stop in (T-T)
Finally, I made it on a weekend! ☺︎

The artwork displayed in front of the shop is also adorable! ☺️💕

There’s parking for 2 cars right in front of the shop! ❗️✌️

Now, let’s step inside! 🫶

The moment you open the door, a beautiful display case full of cute cakes greets you! 🌟❗️ The selection in the case changes every week, so I’ll introduce the lineup that was available on the day I visited 😆

From the top left:

And on the bottom row, from the left:

• Apple Pie
• Roll Cake
• Ivoire
• Châtaigne
• Framboise Chocolat

Just look at how many cake varieties they have!

They also had my favorites — tarts and pudding! ☺︎

And tons of baked goods too! ❣️

And to think the owner makes all of this single-handedly! Σ(￣。￣ﾉ)ﾉ Truly amazing…!!

They also sell original merchandise! 😊

Packs of coffee are available for purchase too! ☺️✨

And here’s a wonderful surprise — they sell the cake trimmings (off-cuts) too! ❣️
These are normally discarded pieces, so it’s such a lovely zero-waste touch! ❗️

Cake Shop Oyatsuya 3-ji Recommended Menu

This time, I picked these three cakes!

From the left:

• Roll Cake
• Caramel Chocolat
• Mont Blanc

That’s the lineup! 😊💕

First up — the Roll Cake! 💁‍♀️

The sponge is incredibly fluffy with an amazing springy texture! ❣️

I love a roll cake with real substance, so this was perfect for me! 💕

You can taste the rich egg flavor, and the fresh cream has just the right level of sweetness — perfectly balanced!

It was so good I felt like I could eat the whole roll in one go! 🥹 lol

Next, the king of autumn sweets — Mont Blanc! ✨

Whenever fall rolls around, I crave Mont Blanc so badly that I just have to buy one (or two) lol

The base is sponge cake, and hidden inside — though you can’t see it from the outside — is one whole, big chestnut! 😆

Absolutely delicious! ❣️

Mont Blanc lovers will be in heaven! 🫶✨

Last but not least — the Caramel Chocolat.

This is the only cake that’s available every single week — it’s the shop’s signature item! ☺️

The two distinct layers of caramel and chocolate melt together beautifully in your mouth.
So good~! ☺︎

Plus, each cake is impressively substantial and so beautifully crafted — they truly look like little jewels 💎! ✨

I had three, but they were so delicious I could have eaten more! lol
I can’t wait to come back and see what new varieties will be in the case next time! 😆
