Introducing Chikami Torita Park

Today I’d like to introduce you to a charming little neighborhood park in Hiyoshi, Minami Ward, Kumamoto City:
Chikami Torita Park.

The park sits right near the Chikami intersection, surrounded by handy stops like Marugame Seimen (the popular udon chain),

Nitori (Japan’s beloved home goods store) and Kojima (an electronics retailer).

On this particular day, we’d come to shop at Nitori, and my son quickly grew tired of tagging along — so we used the park as a perfect little break spot.
(He’s reached that age where shopping with mom is the last thing he wants to do…)
