About the Shop

Hello there!

I’m Binako, a writer for Sarukuma,
and my kids recently surprised me by suddenly saying classic anime catchphrases out of nowhere — kids really do say the funniest things!

Today I’d like to introduce you to a wonderful spot located in
Nagamine-nishi, Higashi-ku, Kumamoto City:
“Cucina Dada — Pasta and Panini Specialty Shop.”

This pasta and panini specialty shop opened in September.

Panini aren’t all that common around here in Kumamoto, so I was excited to give them a try!

The parking lot is right in front of the shop, and the signage makes it easy to spot.

Inside, the atmosphere is calm and refined — clean lines and a grown-up vibe.

There’s also a private room available, making it perfect for families with children or anyone wanting a more secluded dining experience.

Head toward the back of the shop and you’ll find a different ambiance — bright and airy, with warm wooden table seating that feels welcoming.

There’s counter seating too, so it’s easy to drop in for a solo lunch.

The menu is also displayed outside the shop, so you can decide what you’d like to order before even stepping inside.

This time, I went for takeout. It’s wonderful that you can take pasta to go as well!

Pasta — ALL 1,000 yen
Panini — ALL 600 yen
The prices are very reasonable.

Combo sets are also available for takeout.

I ordered the
Shrimp, Avocado & Tomato Panini — 600 yen.

Because it’s made fresh to order, the aroma was absolutely incredible — even my car was filled with the most amazing scent on the way home!

The generous chunks of plump, juicy shrimp pair beautifully with the creamy melted cheese and silky avocado.
The tangy tomato keeps everything refreshing, so you never get tired of the flavors.

The perfect balance of saltiness and rich, savory depth made it absolutely delicious.

They serve lunch, dinner (by reservation), and takeout, so be sure to stop by during your visit to Kumamoto!
