Hello, travelers!
I’m Ayu-mama, a writer for “Sarukuma.”

Before I dive into today’s blog, I have a little confession to make.
I’m ‘the type who can’t be adventurous with food.’
So I’ve started to notice that I keep introducing similar things over and over!!!

You might be thinking, “Again?!” but
it’s truly, ridiculously delicious, so please let me share it with you!!!

Today I’m introducing Cher・papa, located in Hetami, Mifune Town, Kamimashiki District.

You’ll find the shop right next door to the Fashion Center Sanki. (I’m a regular at Sanki too!)

It’s an adorable little cake shop nestled among the trees.

Look for the charming sign featuring a hedgehog parent and child — that’s your landmark.
So adorable!

The parking lot is a gravel area behind the shop.

There’s a clear sign pointing the way to the parking area too!

Inside, you’ll find an array of cakes, of course,

along with baked goods…

and even cute homeware and miscellaneous goods.

There’s an eat-in space available too.

There’s even counter seating, so it feels welcoming for solo visitors too!

Christmas cake reservations had also just opened!
Every single one looked absolutely irresistible!

Truth be told, the rice flour chiffon cake I’d been dreaming of was sold out… so I’ll have to come back for revenge next time!

Today, I’ll be sharing the Denen Roll Cake and Cream Puff!

That’s when it hit me… I always seem to buy roll cake and cream puffs! (laughs)
I just love these two so much!
Please forgive me ^_^

First up, the ‘Denen Roll Cake’ at 270 yen.

This cake is also made with rice flour.
The sponge is unbelievably fluffy!
It’s so light on the palate that you might be tempted to eat the whole roll instead of just a slice.

Next, the ‘Cream Puff’ at 140 yen.

The cream is piped in fresh after you order! (I’m such a sucker for the made-to-order cream-filling system!)

The shell is packed to the brim with cream — no gaps in sight.
The cream has just the right level of sweetness, making it the kind of treat you could happily devour several of!

If you’re a roll cake and cream puff lover like me, this is one shop you absolutely have to try at least once!
