Today I’m excited to introduce a charming little spot located in
Asoda, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City:
“Shichifuku Manju Honpo”.

I’ve been curious about this place for ages, and I finally made it here! (^-^)/

Parking is conveniently located right next to the shop.

Inside the shop, there’s a cozy eat-in space available.

They also sell drinks, so you can grab one and enjoy your manju right there in the shop! (^o^)

And the best part? Check out this adorable tanuki (Japanese raccoon dog) shape!

A cheerful auntie bakes each one by hand, all on her own. ☆

Since the auntie runs the place solo,
the shop is only open four days a week — making each visit feel extra special! ☆

This time, I went with the most popular item:
Ham & Cheese — 160 yen
Black Sweet Bean Paste (Kuro-an) — 130 yen
Both were calling my name!

You can choose between a soft-boiled or firm egg.

Of course, I went with the runny soft-boiled egg! (^^)

But the auntie warned me with a smile:
“It’s super gooey, so don’t get it on your clothes!”

I’d been warned, but still…

So gooey and oozing!
The dough is wonderfully fluffy!!

Filled with ham, soft-boiled egg, and cabbage — totally satisfying! (^-^)

Despite the warning to keep my clothes clean…
it was just too gooey to handle…
and I ended up making a mess like a little kid! (^^
