I’ve recently picked up the habit of sipping warm water every morning —
it’s your Sarukuma writer Binako here!

Today I’m introducing a delightful spot located in
Aitsu, Matsushima-machi, Kamiamakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“Cake Atelier Pumpkin” (ケーキ工房パンプキン).

Rumor has it they make an enormous 50cm roll cake here!

FIFTY centimeters?!
That’s basically a dream come true for me ( *´艸｀)

Heads up — please use the municipal parking lot when visiting!

They also have a wonderful selection of baked goods ^^

You’ll even spot adorable character cookies!
The craftsmanship is seriously impressive…

These are sure to put a smile on both kids’ and grown-ups’ faces ( *´艸｀)
Honestly, I want some for myself too lol

They also offer assorted baked-goods gift sets,
which make perfect souvenirs or thoughtful gifts for friends!

Apple Pie — 210 yen
Cheese Pie — 180 yen
Annoimo (Sweet Potato) Pie — 180 yen
are also on the menu!

From rich chocolate cakes to fruit cakes and Mont Blanc,
there’s plenty to choose from when you feel like treating yourself ^^

Whole cakes are available too,
making them ideal for birthdays or special occasions (*´ω｀*)

And here it is — the star of the show!
50cm Roll Cake — 1,720 yen
I went with the plain flavor!

There are flavors beyond plain too!

It’s massive!!
Yes, my eyes are closed in the photo, but please forgive that —
the real star is the sheer size of this roll cake!!

It was so huge that
we ended up splitting it into 1/3 and 2/3 portions (*´Д｀) lol

And even then, it was still enormous!!
Pure happiness!!

I dove right in without slicing it first!

It feels indulgent in the best way — I couldn’t stop grinning lol

The sturdy yet tender roll cake sponge
melts together with airy, lightly sweetened whipped cream — pure bliss.

The sweetness is gentle and never overwhelming,
so you could honestly keep eating forever!

The fact that there’s still so much left to enjoy? Heaven, I tell you!
