Today, I’m excited to introduce a wonderful spot in Toshima, Higashi Ward, Kumamoto City:
Toshima Fureai Hiroba Park Golf Course.
This sprawling facility features both an ‘open space’ and a ‘park golf course’ across a generous green campus.
The parking area.
And the management building.

Here are the opening hours. Note: closed on Wednesdays.

Inside the management building you’ll find vending machines and restrooms.
The restrooms come equipped with clean diaper-changing tables and child-sized chairs,
so families with little ones can visit with peace of mind.
Park golf check-in is handled inside the management building.
And the prices are wonderfully affordable!

On weekends, the place is buzzing with families enjoying the day together!
Even little ones can have fun on the practice course here!

And what’s more — the practice course costs just 100 yen!!!
Talk about a bargain!

Clubs are available for rent too, so you can show up empty-handed and still play!
The free open field is also available for hourly rental,
perfect for soccer practice matches or group bookings.

Why You’ll Love It

The biggest highlight has to be the autumn foliage.

Rows upon rows of American sweetgum trees line the grounds,
promising spectacular fall colors as the season progresses!
It was still a touch early when we visited,
but once the air turns crisp, these trees burst into brilliant red!
There’s also a beautifully manicured grass lawn,
so you can wind down with a leisurely autumn-leaf stroll after your round of park golf!
