Today I’m excited to introduce you to
a hidden gem in Shimosuzurikawa-machi, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City,
“Bäckerei Hestia”.

Oh my goodness…

The breads look so incredibly delicious,
I couldn’t help but sigh in awe!

And believe it or not, the selection grows even bigger on weekends, with more hard-crust artisan breads and a wider variety to choose from (^o^)

There’s also plenty of sweet pastries that kids will absolutely adore (^^)

A delicious selection of sandwiches is available too (^-^)

Here’s the parking lot.
The bakery is located within the Doremi-mura complex, so each shop has its own dedicated parking spaces right out front.

The restrooms are located at the back of Doremi-mura.

There are also outdoor table seats right in front of the shop, where you can enjoy your bread on the spot (^o^)

It’s called
The Chestnut (Za Kuri) – 240 yen

This beauty is loaded with sweet candied chestnuts (with the inner skin still on) and rich whipped cream~

The flaky Danish pastry, fluffy whipped cream, and candied chestnuts create a perfect autumn harmony (^-^)/

Absolutely heavenly!
This is more like a dessert than just bread (^o^)

The bakery’s #1 bestseller is the Croissant – 160 yen ☆

It’s already delicious as is, but if you pop it in the toaster,
the buttery aroma blooms and you get that crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside texture (^o^)

It’s simply incredible!
