Today I’m excited to introduce you to
“Hifumi Shokudo,”
a lovely little eatery located in Yamaga, Kumamoto Prefecture.

It’s a wonderfully stylish restaurant tucked into Yamaga’s atmospheric retro streetscape (*^^*)

From the window to the left of the entrance, you can also grab takeout bento boxes and party platters!

Just across the street directly in front of the restaurant,

you’ll find the parking lot of Chiyonosono Sake Brewery, which guests are welcome to use!

The interior is spread across two floors,
with counter seats on the first floor and table seating up the stairs on the second floor!

They also offer children’s chairs and kid-friendly tableware,
so families with little ones can dine here with total peace of mind ^ – ^♪

Recommended Menu

The menu includes Roast Pork Set Meal (1,000 yen)

Roast Beef Set Meal (1,200 yen)

Taco Rice (750 yen)

Spicy Chicken Curry (850 yen)

Taiwanese-style Mixed Noodle Set (850 yen)

Set A: Drink (250 yen)

Set B: Dessert (250 yen)

Set C: Drink + Dessert (400 yen)

For desserts, you can choose from chocolate gateau, cheesecake,
matcha cake, cheese tart, or French toast,

and for drinks, the options include iced coffee, hot coffee,
café latte, soy milk latte, matcha latte, orange, guava,
mango, apple, cola, ginger ale, and oolong tea!

This time, I went with the Roast Beef Set Meal (1,200 yen).

The plate was generously piled high with tender roast beef,
and it also came with quiche, salad, and soup — incredible value for the price (≧∀≦)

The Roast Pork Set Meal (1,000 yen)

also came with a hearty soup loaded with goya (bitter melon), mushrooms, and wakame seaweed,
so you get plenty of vegetables alongside your meal.
The roast pork itself was incredibly tender and easy to eat —
absolutely delicious (*^^*)

I also added Set C: Drink + Dessert (400 yen),

which here features cheesecake at the back and cheese tart in the front!

I’m a huge cheesecake fan, so I just had to go for the drink and dessert combo♫

The cheesecake had a perfectly balanced tang —
so light and moist that you could keep eating it forever!

The cheese tart had just the right amount of sweetness,
and the tart crust was wonderfully moist —
both desserts are easy for kids to enjoy too♬
