Hello there!
This is Binako, your SaruKuma travel writer ♪
Today I’m taking you to
Akitsu, Higashi Ward, Kumamoto City,
“Akitsu Sanchome Park”.

The park itself doesn’t have a parking lot, but right next door you’ll find the Akitsu Community Center, Akitsu Children’s Center, and Akitsu Town Development Center. Most visitors here are people already using those facilities!
Why You’ll Love This Park

This time, I went for a leisurely stroll around the park!
It’s wonderfully wide open, with a real sense of freedom and space ^^
The grass is so inviting it’ll make you want to break into a run!

Here are the park rules!
Good news for dog lovers: pets are welcome off-leash as long as you clean up after them ★
What a lovely place to take both your kids and your furry friend for a walk together ♪

The park is generously sized,
with a dedicated walking course that draws all kinds of visitors ^^
Plenty of trees provide
lots of cool shade — perfect for comfortable strolling (^^)
Walking surrounded by all this greenery is genuinely refreshing ♪
The walking path is paved with a soft, well-maintained surface,
so it’s easy on the legs for kids and adults alike.

There are two drinking fountains and hand-washing stations,
conveniently placed at either end of the park ^^
Having two means you don’t have to walk far when little hands need washing —
a huge plus when you’re visiting with kids ★

The park also features a small pond,
perfect for kids to splash around in on a warm day ♪
We’d recommend bringing a change of clothes if water play is on the agenda (^^)
It’s not a big pond — just the right size for a refreshing dip and a cool-down.

While there aren’t many playground structures, the open layout is ideal for
playing catch, running games, and tag —
a perfect place to let the kids burn off energy (*^-^*)

Two covered benches offer a shady spot to rest while keeping an eye on the kids ♪
They’re also great for a relaxed picnic lunch!
Several uncovered benches are scattered throughout the park as well,
so you’ll rarely find yourself standing for long (^^♪
There are no vending machines inside the park, so be sure to bring your own water bottle (^^)
Restrooms are available, including a multi-purpose accessible toilet,
so you can visit with peace of mind ^^

If you’re looking to move around freely in a lush, green space —
this is the spot!
Since there are no tall play structures,
you can easily keep an eye on your children at all times — a real comfort for parents (*^-^*)
We recommend bringing outdoor toys like bubbles to make the most of your visit ★
