Today I’m introducing a takeout-focused shop located in Koyama, Higashi-ku, Kumamoto City
[AMAM Soft Serve Ice Cream Shop].

Get ready — this New York-inspired, next-generation soft serve has made its very first appearance in Kumamoto!

The grand opening was on January 20~

Here’s how to find it! Head east along Kokutai Road and you’ll see Egao Stadium come into view.

Just before Egao Stadium, you’ll spot a Bento Hirai (lunchbox shop) on your left. Turn right at that signal, then immediately left — and you’ve arrived!

There’s parking for 5 to 6 cars right in front of the shop.

There’s also a spacious lot behind the shop where you can park, so driving here is stress-free ♪
Now let’s head inside~

Step inside and you’re welcomed by a warm, wood-toned interior — and your eyes are immediately drawn to a colorful display of mouth-watering soft serve creations!

Although it’s marketed as a takeout shop, there’s actually eat-in seating both inside and outside.

The interior is roomy, perfect for relaxing.

First up — the kids’ orders!
Hand over your ticket and they start preparing it right away.

They scoop the soft serve and add the toppings ♪ The anticipation is real (⋈◍＞◡＜◍)。✧♡

Done!! Here’s what the kids chose:

The milk base is a cheese milk soft serve supervised by Premelcake.

You’d think it would be heavy and rich? But surprisingly, the texture is light and refreshing on the tongue. The crunchy strawberry cookie topping pairs perfectly with the smooth, melt-in-your-mouth milk soft serve ♡

Best of all, you can adjust the amount of sauce as you eat to enjoy changing levels of sweetness and flavor — it’s like getting two or three desserts in one. Hugely satisfying.

I’m a total sucker for words like “limited edition”… “recommended”… “top pick” (lol)
So of course, I went with the recommended popular craft ♪

I chose Oat Soft Serve × Mixed Nuts × Chocolate & Caramel

They piled on a generous amount of sauce — it was practically begging me to stop photographing and start eating.

This is apparently the only oat milk soft serve in Japan ♡

I’m a big oat milk fan!
For those unfamiliar, oat milk is a plant-based, non-dairy alternative made by blending oats with water and straining the mixture.

It’s nutrient-rich and great news for anyone with dairy allergies or those avoiding dairy.

You know I had to do this shot.

Here we go~ thick, gooey sauce dripping down… “Itadakimasu ♡”

“Mmm! So good!!”

The gentle, light texture of the oat soft serve combined with the crunch of the mixed nuts and the rich chocolate & caramel sauce creates a beautiful symphony — sweetness floods your mouth in the most wonderful way!

Evening soft serve is highly recommended! Whether you’re stopping by after work, after school, after dinner, or just for a quick treat — you’ll devour it in no time.

He’s both a university student and an entrepreneur! His interest in starting a business led him to open this shop.
