Introducing Egoshi 2-chome Park

Hello there!
This is Ayu-mama, your friendly writer from “Sarukuma”!

Now that April has rolled in, the temperatures have shot up and we’re enjoying one warm, sunny day after another!

And on a beautiful day like this, kids just have to head out to the park, right?
So once again, we’re bringing you another wonderful park to explore ^_^

Today we’re showcasing a charming little park tucked away in Egoshi, Minami Ward, Kumamoto City:
Egoshi 2-chome Park.

It’s conveniently located near SunLive City Kumanan and not far from Heisei Chuo Park, which we’ve featured here on Sarukuma before.

One thing to note — unfortunately, there’s no parking lot on site.

Here you’ll find the drinking fountain and hand-washing station.

And here are the restrooms.

There’s no vending machine inside the park itself, but you’ll find one just across the street in front of the Pizza-La delivery pizza shop.

There are also covered benches with a roof for shade.

You’ll also spot benches under the trees, which will offer wonderful shade and a cool place to relax once the fresh green leaves come into season!

Why We Recommend Egoshi 2-chome Park

The star attraction here is a kid-favorite — the Tarzan Rope (zip line)!

It’s pretty rare to find a Tarzan Rope at a small neighborhood park like this!
And it’s in beautiful condition!
My son hopped on right away!
He went zooming down with a huge grin (^^)!

There’s also a combination play structure.

A sandbox is available too,

and there’s even a small hill to climb!

Plus an open grassy plaza for free play.

Just a heads-up — ball games that might disturb the neighbors are not allowed here.
After all, balls flying onto the road or into nearby homes could be dangerous.

While it’s a quiet residential park, the surrounding area has plenty of shopping spots and great places to grab a meal!
If you happen to be in the neighborhood, definitely stop by and check it out!
