Welcome to Ikoi no Mori Park

Hello, fellow travelers!
This is your SaruKuma writer, Asukarando.

Today I’m thrilled to introduce a wonderfully relaxing spot in Shisui-machi, Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“Ikoi no Mori Park” (Forest of Rest Park).

Tucked away in a quiet, peaceful setting — let’s take a stroll through Ikoi no Mori Park together (^-^)/

The parking lot is right at the park entrance.
In the early morning, it was packed with cars belonging to ground-golf players enjoying their daily game.

There are three handwashing stations scattered around the park.

The restrooms are located at the back of the park, and they even include a diaper-changing table — great news for families with little ones (^-^)

You’ll also find two vending machines near the restrooms — perfect for grabbing a quick drink (^-^)

There are two covered benches that offer welcome shade and shelter.

Plenty of additional benches are placed throughout the grounds, so you’ll always find a comfy spot to sit (^-^)

During my visit, an announcement from Kikuchi City played throughout the park,
sharing helpful guidelines and reminders for visitors.

Here’s the signboard with the park usage guidelines (^-^)

What Makes Ikoi no Mori Park Special

This wide, open lawn is the star of the show \(^o^)/

There’s a gentle walking path winding through the park, perfect for taking a leisurely stroll with toddlers who are just learning to walk (^-^)

There’s even a small grassy hill — ideal for some old-fashioned grass-sledding fun (^-^)/

A simple wooden athletic playset gives kids the chance
to run, climb, and burn off plenty of energy (^-^)

If you’re craving a quiet, unhurried day in nature, Ikoi no Mori Park is the perfect place to slow down and recharge (⌒0⌒)/~~
