Introducing Re.kuru Tamana

Hello travelers!
I’m Gachako, a Sarukuma writer who absolutely loves family-friendly community spaces.

Today I’m excited to share a hidden gem located in Mutta, Tamana City, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“Re.kuru Tamana” — a brand-new multi-generational community facility.

Freshly opened in March, this place represents everyone’s ideal vision of a space where all ages can come together and enjoy themselves.

Look for the green sign — it’s your landmark.
The facility sits right across the street from Tosaya Ready-Mixed Concrete.

From the outside, it almost looks like a gymnasium.

The parking lot is wonderfully spacious, too.

And here’s a surprise — they even have a car wash on site, plus an indoor vacuum cleaner for car interiors!
My husband can easily spend three hours washing his car…
So this is honestly such a brilliant idea 🌟

Why You’ll Love Re.kuru Tamana

Let’s head inside!

Wow! This is seriously impressive 👀
It’s the kind of space where you can watch your kids while sipping coffee at the café.

Whether you come with family or friends, the possibilities for a fun day are endless!

Check out the adorable kids’ jungle gym!

And a trampoline 🎵

There’s even a bouldering wall!
A ball pit is also ready for the little ones to enjoy.

Here’s the price list.

Such reasonable prices!
Adults just need to order one drink, and at only 220 yen, your entrance fee is included!

The restrooms are equipped with diaper-changing stations and kids’ toilet seats,
which is such a thoughtful touch for families (´;ω;`)

Right next to the kids’ room, you’ll find…

A fitness area!

Believe it or not, these gym machines are the same models that were prepared for the Olympic Village.

Pretty intriguing, right?

Even a 92-year-old grandmother was happily giving them a try 🎵

Right next to the fitness area is a golf practice space.

You can even receive professional coaching, so beginners need not worry.
Junior-sized equipment will also be available for rent.

Here’s the fitness and golf price list.

For golf, a separate batting fee starts from 1,500 yen for one person.

And of course, the on-site café iGReK Mutta is also part of the facility.
We previously introduced their original Tamana location here on Sarukuma.

This time, I tried the lemonade soda (350 yen) and
walnut gateau chocolat (300 yen).

The gateau chocolat was homemade, gentle in flavor, and absolutely delicious — I devoured every bite.

Plenty of takeout options are available, too.

As the weather warms up, the terrace seating becomes the perfect spot to relax.

“We hope young people will stay in Tamana and help bring energy to our town.
Even just using the outdoor walking paths and athletic equipment is wonderful!” (The outdoor walking trails and athletic facilities are free to use.)

That’s what the owner shared with me during my visit.

Tamana is becoming an exciting destination! Be sure to drop by Re.kuru Tamana the next time you’re exploring Kumamoto.
