If you’re searching for a sweet escape in Kumamoto, I’ve got exciting news! The beloved fresh donut and fried chicken shop that used to be tucked away in Minami-Aso has just relocated to Suya in Koshi City — and trust me, it’s absolutely worth the visit ♪

You’ll find the shop right near Don Quijote Koshi, along Route 387 (the Tobita Bypass)!
It sits a little further back from the road than the surrounding stores, so it can be tricky to spot from the street — but don’t worry, just punch the name into your GPS and it’ll guide you right there ☆

There are two parking spaces in front of the colorful storefront,

and an additional 10-car private parking lot located to the back-right of the shop — plenty of room for everyone!

The interior is just as bright and cheerful as the outside, with a cozy eat-in space ♪
Wishbone serves lunch starting at 11:00 AM, and the donut eat-in service begins at 2:00 PM.

The fresh donuts are seriously a feast for the eyes — so colorful and fun to look at! ^^

It gets pretty busy in the evenings, so calling ahead to reserve is a smart move! Donuts can’t be reserved, but the fried chicken and burgers are available for pre-order takeaway ^^

The secret is their unique technique: they hydrate the dough to the absolute maximum, let it rest slowly at low temperatures, then fry it quickly at high heat ☆

Pro tip for takeaway: warm the donut for about 10–15 seconds at home (just enough that the chocolate doesn’t melt) for an even more delicious experience! And since the donuts are generously coated in chocolate, especially during warmer months, bring along an ice pack or insulated bag if your trip home will take a while!

The dough is so cloud-soft that when I tried to break it apart by hand, it completely squished! ^^;

The cute-looking strawberry was the kids’ favorite! (That’s an 8-year-old’s hand for scale.)

The #1 Sugary Donut absolutely lived up to the hype ♡ Sweet tooths, definitely go for the Salted Caramel! lol

Heads up: since opening day, donuts have been selling out before closing time every single day! Some days they’re nearly gone by lunchtime!
